Repairing Paint ChipsSo you realize that your car has a chip, and you want to go running, before you do that you should take these advices. For you to know a scratch and a chip is the same thing when it comes to repair so this advice will help you a lot. Before you start applying this technique it will be better if you can start in a part of the vehicle that is not visible, leaving the others parts for later, like the hood. Before you do anything you have wash the car, so it won’t have anything in the surface, make sure that the chip is not falling from the car, so it won’t destroy your work later. Buy a new pencil and attach a little piece of sandpaper, and when is ready you are going to use it in the spot that the chip, to avoid the damage of the other part of the car, remember to keep the area as small as possible. Once you are done with all the chips, you are going to use the Alcohol or Enamel Reducer to wipe all the sanding dust that could be there, and allow it to dry. Now you are ready for the first coat, and you are going to do this with a toothpick, in order to make sure that is a fine coat, but make sure that is really dry before think about a second hand. And you are going to repeat this until you have a surface that is even, it will be better if you leave for at least a week before you think about it, this will be very dry by then. Now you need a Finesse block and this is to smooth the surface is different than the sandpaper because is only to make it even without the harms of the sandpaper. The last step for you is to get a glaze or it can be wax, and it can be apply either with a cotton or cloth, and you are going to do the same procedure that you did before and then remove it, this is going to make you car shine.
